This ring draws on the mythic power and radiance of a phoenix rising from the ashes. The central round-cut orangy-red sapphire has a vibrant, fiery hue, like the molten core of a sun. A spectacular halo of graduating, brilliant-cut diamonds cradles it, forming a dynamic spiral. Where the Stones Come From

The sapphire is natural, selected from a trusted gem dealer in Thailand whose family has been in the trade for generations. Sourced from small-scale, independent miners in Thailand, Vietnam, and Africa, these stones come from people rather than large industrial corporations.

The accent diamonds are lab-grown. I wanted to pair the two on purpose: a natural gemstone that spent millions of years forming deep in the earth, alongside diamonds made possible by modern technology. To me, it's a thoughtful way to create a really unique piece.

How the Sapphire Gem Gets Its Glow

Like nearly all fine sapphires, this one has been gently heated, a traditional practice that has been used for centuries to bring out the stone's natural color and clarity. Sapphires are very durable, so it's well suited to everyday wear.
